Basketball Game Preview: Cascade Champions vs. Grundy County Yellowjackets

The Cascade Champions will head out on the road to challenge the Grundy County Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cascade knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Grundy County likes a good challenge.

Cascade is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Cannon County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 74-60 to the Lions.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grundy County). They blew past Sequatchie County, posting a 77-43 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Yellowjackets sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Grundy County, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Cascade came up short against Grundy County when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 61-50. Can Cascade avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
