Recap: Wright Christian vs. Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy

Wright Christian won the last time they faced Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy, and things went their way on Friday, too. Everything went Wright Christian's way against Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy as they made off with a 58-24 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for Wright Christian.

Wright Christian's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 29 points in the first half. Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy came up with 8 to make it 29-8 heading into the break. The offense for Wright Christian continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 29 points to put the game away.

Senior Ben Persinger, who rushed for 159 yards and 4 touchdowns, was a major factor in the success. Senior Gordon Stephens was in the mix, too, providing Wright Christian with 2 touchdowns. The game brought them to 2-0 and dropped Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy to a mirror-image 0-2.

Both teams will be heading out of the conference in their next games. Next week, Wright Christian take on Graham/Dustin at 7:00 PM. Wright Christian continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight contest. As for Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy, they will face off against Cornerstone.
