Basketball Game Preview: Covenant Day Lions vs. Forsyth Country Day Furies

The Covenant Day Lions will take on the Forsyth Country Day Furies at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Covenant Day took a blow against Davidson Day, falling 76-42. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Covenant Day's loss came about despite a quality game from Micah Huffman, who went 6-for-13 en route to 14 points and five boards. Christian Montgomery was another key player, putting up seven points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Forsyth Country Day put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Charlotte Country Day School 79-40. That looming 79-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Furies yet this season.

Forsyth Country Day's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Covenant Day, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Covenant Day came up short against Forsyth Country Day in their previous matchup back in February, falling 68-63. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
