Baseball Recap: Alameda Hornets vs. Encinal Jets
Alameda extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping their season record down to 8-11 in the process. They came up short against the Encinal Jets, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Jets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-0 loss on Wednesday.
As for Encinal, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games.
For Encinal's part, Darren Olson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Olson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
