Volleyball Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Comes Up Short

Metro-East Lutheran saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Henry Clay Blue Devils. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Henry Clay's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Bunch led the charge by getting five aces. Those five aces gave Bunch a new career-high.

Metro-East Lutheran now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Henry Clay, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Metro-East Lutheran will challenge Chicago Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Henry Clay, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Belleville East at 10:00 a.m. Belleville East will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Henry Clay surely won't give up without a fight.
