Basketball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Berean Christian's Winning Streak

Berean Christian was the 60-55 winner over Eagleton College & Career Academy when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Berean Christian received a blow on Thursday as they fell 70-53 to the Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals. While losing is never fun, Berean Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Eagleton College & Career Academy is ranked 94th).

Despite the loss, Berean Christian still got an impressive performance from Connor Copeland, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Copeland is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. Another player making a difference was Josh Myers, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Berean Christian moved to 9-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Berean Christian will welcome Grace Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagleton College & Career Academy has already played their next game (against Concord Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
