Baseball Game Preview: East Wake Warriors vs. Rolesville Rams

The East Wake Warriors will face off against the Rolesville Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for East Wake's offense. They lost 10-0 to Southern Nash on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Rolesville not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th (when they won 13-4). They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Chapel Hill.

Deacon Hensley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cayden Mace, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Zach Overton was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Rolesville's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for East Wake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
