There's no place like home for Leyden, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Willowbrook Warriors 1-0 on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Warriors back in March, they had to take a 8-7 defeat.

Leyden's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Ganir, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Leyden has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Willowbrook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Leyden by a score of 5-0 on Thursday.
