Softball Recap: Page Falls to Southwest Guilford in First Game of Season

Page kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 22-3 to the Southwest Guilford Cowboys. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Cowboys: they've now lost four in a row.

Kennedy Jarusik stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1. Ariel McAfee was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Even though they lost, Page was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

The win got Southwest Guilford back to even at 2-2.
