Lake View barely beat Intrinsic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday. Lake View might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

The victory (which was Lake View's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Intrinsic, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-2 and their overall record down to 3-2-2.

Looking ahead, Lake View will take on Shepard at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Intrinsic, they will be playing at home against Englewood Stem at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Intrinsic's defense better be ready for this one: Englewood Stem have averaged an impressive 6.5 goals per game this season.
