Basketball Game Preview: Harker Heights Knights vs. Bryan Vikings

The Harker Heights Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Bryan Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harker Heights will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Harker Heights strolled past Shoemaker with points to spare, taking the game 50-36.

Meanwhile, Bryan lost a heartbreaker to Midway when they met back in January of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Thursday. Bryan was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to Midway. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Harker Heights is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Bryan, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-8.

Harker Heights was able to grind out a solid win over Bryan in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 46-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harker Heights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
