Baseball Game Preview: Pendleton Buckaroos vs. Baker/Powder Valley Bulldogs

Pendleton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Baker/Powder Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Buckaroos will host the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. Pendleton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.

On Friday, Pendleton got the win against Ontario by a conclusive 16-3. Considering the Buckaroos have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Baker/Powder Valley). They skirted past La Grande 15-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since April 8th.

Pendleton pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Baker/Powder Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Everything went Pendleton's way against Baker/Powder Valley when the teams last played back in April, as Pendleton made off with a 19-1 win. Will the Buckaroos repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
