Castro Valley dropped down to 10-2 on Saturday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell 13-0 to the Granada Matadors. The match marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

As for Granada, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.6 points on average over those games.

The critical scores for Granada came from Caitlyn Nguyen-Schertzer, Isabelle Dunn, and Marin Lnenicka.

Looking ahead, Castro Valley will venture away from home to challenge James Logan at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Granada, they will welcome Carondelet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
