Volleyball Recap: Stagg's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Stagg was the 2-1 winner over Andrew when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers fell just short of the Thunderbolts by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Stagg was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Andrew work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 23-25, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Stagg still got an impressive performance from Charlie Zeiler, who had 18 digs and two assists. Zeiler is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Stagg's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-12. As for Andrew, their win bumped their record up to 13-19.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Stagg will face off against rival Sandburg at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Andrew is set to take on their familiar foe Lincoln-Way Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
