Volleyball Recap: Nease's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Nease was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bartram Trail last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tocoi Creek Toros on Tuesday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Toros earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Nease ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 25-18.

Nease's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5. As for Tocoi Creek, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Nease is taking a road trip to face off against Global Outreach Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tocoi Creek, they will welcome Warner Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Toros' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Eagles have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
