Northshore entered their tilt with Chalmette on Monday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 61-45 victory over the Chalmette Owls. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Owls are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northshore has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Chalmette, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northshore and Cohen will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Chalmette, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fontainebleau at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fontainebleau will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Chalmette surely won't give up without a fight.
