Football Recap: Kopperl Comes Up Short

Kopperl lost against Iredell back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles lost to the Dragons on the road by a 43-28 margin. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Junior Vega threw for 99 yards and one TD. Kaden Watts was his top target, picking up 47 receiving yards. On the ground, Bearon Brinkley rushed for 109 yards on only ten carries.

Kopperl's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Iredell, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kopperl is set to square off against their familiar foe Morgan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Iredell will challenge rival Three Way at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
