Volleyball Recap: Word of God Academy Beats ARC Academy for Their Fourth Straight Win

Word of God Academy came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the ARC Academy Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Force: when they faced off against the Warriors back in August, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Word of God Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-12.

Word of God Academy was led to victory by Paisley Giles and Kallie Pizarro. Giles had 11 digs and three aces, while Pizarro hit 50% for nine kills and ten aces and nine digs. Those nine kills gave Pizarro a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Word of God Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matchups.

Word of God Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for ARC Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

After both having extra time off, Word of God Academy and Christian Heritage will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for ARC Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mount Olive Christian at 6:00 p.m.
