Softball Recap: Hueytown Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Hueytown proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 12) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Plainview Bears get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. For the Golden Gophers, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Hueytown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Plainview, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Hueytown will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair will be back at it again later today.
