Baseball Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Cascade's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Kamiak Knights on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Marcell Alexander spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Cascade saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Crosson, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Cascade dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Kamiak, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cascade is set to take on their familiar foe Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kamiak will square off against rival Lake Stevens at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
