Football Recap: Downers Grove South Comes Up Short

The Downers Grove South Mustangs were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 24-19 to the Wheaton North Falcons. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Downers Grove South now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wheaton North, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Downers Grove South is set to challenge their familiar foe Willowbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wheaton North will take on rival Lake Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Falcons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
