Basketball Recap: Clear Creek Comes Up Short

Clear Creek lost against Dickinson back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clear Creek Wildcats fell 63-55 to the Dickinson Gators. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 341st, while the Gators are ranked 165th).

Clear Creek has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-20 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Dickinson, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dickinson beat Clear Creek by a score of 63-55 on Saturday.
