Basketball Recap: Laurence Manning Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Laurence Manning Academy had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 43-30 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 27-22 back in January.

Despite the loss, Hilton Head Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sissy Thompson posted six points in addition to 14 boards and four steals. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Thompson. Sophia Blackwell was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.
