Baseball Recap: Knight Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Knight faced off against Lancaster on Wednesday. The Hawks lost 15-5 to the Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Santiago Mendoza made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Andres Castro also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Knight's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Lancaster, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10.

While Knight had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
