The Herscher Tigers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Milford Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Herscher is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Prairie Central. Herscher narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Prairie Central 10-8. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Anistin Hackley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Keira Ahramovich, who fired off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Kinkade, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Ahramovich wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Herscher lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Kami Muehling was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Muehling was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Addison Lucht was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
