Volleyball Recap: Rosary Academy Comes Up Short

Rosary Academy suffered their biggest loss since August 26th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Orange Lutheran Lancers. The defeat continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost nine in a row.

While Rosary Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Rosary Academy lost, don't look at Savannah Mostero. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and two assists. Mostero has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Rosary Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Orange Lutheran, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Rosary Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Northwood on the 18th. As for Orange Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Canyon del Oro on the 19th.
