The Oasis Sharks will venture away from home to take on the Neumann Celtics at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Oasis' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Gateway Charter as Oasis made off with a 16-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Sharks as they're now sitting on four straight.
Meesha Neujahr was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Oasis got a massive performance out of Kaitlyn McGee, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave McGee a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Audrey Doan, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Oasis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Neumann hadn't done well against Seacrest Country Day recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Neumann was the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Seacrest Country Day. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Celtics.
Cecilia Spencer was a standout: she scored four runs while going 2-for-3. Ellie Raiger also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Neumann's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Oasis, their record is now 9-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Oasis hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .424. However, it's not like Neumann struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Oasis might still be hurting after the 17-2 defeat they got from Neumann in their previous meeting back in March. Can Oasis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
