Volleyball Recap: Katheryn Tate Key Part of Team Effort in Cougars Win

Calvary Day School won the last time they faced Burlington Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-8, 25-17.

Calvary Day School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katheryn Tate, who had 21 digs and two aces. Tate is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Reece, who had 22 assists and three digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Calvary Day School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. They are 10-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Calvary Day School's record now sits at 10-8. As for Burlington Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Coincidentally, Calvary Day School and Burlington Christian Academy will both be playing Westchester Country Day the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Royals will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
