Basketball Recap: David Dellarova's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gloucester County Christian over King's Christian

Gloucester County Christian lost against King's Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gloucester County Christian Conquerors took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the King's Christian Knights.

Gloucester County Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David DellaRova, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points. DellaRova's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Colby James was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead King's Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Atkins, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Homer, who had 17 points.

Gloucester County Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for King's Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Gloucester County Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Atlantic Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 20th. As for King's Christian, they will face off against Camden Academy Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
