Boca Raton Christian extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-13 in the process. They came up short against the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles, falling 20-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

Boca Raton Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Beall, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Andrea Paul also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

As for Calvary Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.4 runs.

On Calvary Christian Academy's side, Gabriella Bird made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bird has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jaime Knierim was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Alexandria Knott, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and four RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boca Raton Christian will venture away from home to challenge Berean Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will head out to take on Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
