Baseball Recap: Nordhoff Comes Up Short

Nordhoff had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 11-14 to make it four. They came up short against the Grace Lancers, falling 13-7. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 9-2 to the Lancers when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Weston Haley made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He is becoming a predictor of Nordhoff's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 8-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Middough, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

As for Grace, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

On Grace's side, Gavin Willis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Willis has posted since back in April. Brady Borgstrom also deserves some recognition as he hit his first doubles of the season.

As of now, neither Nordhoff nor Grace have any future games scheduled.
