Softball Recap: Charity Christian Wins Going Away Against Community Christian Academy

Charity Christian won against Community Christian Academy on Monday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 17-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Molly Carpenter was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Ally Oquinn was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Charity Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matchups.

Charity Christian's record is now 5-1. As for Community Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Charity Christian and Community Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Cardinals see the field they'll take on Asheville T at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Community Christian Academy, their break will end when they face Pinnacle Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
