Basketball Recap: Gordon Falls Short of Jayton in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Gordon couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. The matchup between them and the Jayton Jaybirds didn't end well, with the Gordon Longhorns falling 51-34. The Longhorns were not able to make up for their defeat to the Jaybirds from their previous meeting back in December of 2018.

Gordon's loss dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Jayton, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Gordon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jayton, they will face off against Irion County on Monday. Irion County will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Jayton surely won't give up without a fight.
