Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Independence). They blew past the Garinger Wildcats 68-7 on the road on Friday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Wildcats are ranked 377th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jayden Jones was his usual excellent self, rushing for 209 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Jones is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 189 every time he's taken the field this season. Justin Little was another key player, throwing for 135 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 7-for-7 passing.
