Football Game Preview: Krum Bobcats vs. Ferris Yellowjackets

The Krum Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Ferris Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Krum is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Krum's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Bonham to the tune of 49-0. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won seven games by 25 points or more so far this season.

Will Holland was his usual excellent self, rushing for 275 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Those 275 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Krum was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 353 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 164 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Krum didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Daniel Holt and Ryder Page.

Meanwhile, Ferris earned a 27-20 victory over Wills Point on Friday.

Krum better keep an eye on Qui-Darwin Cotton. He was instrumental in Ferris' win, rushing for 79 yards on only six carries, while also picking up 65 receiving yards. They also got a significant boost from Kaden Gonzalez, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.

Krum's record is now 9-0. As for Ferris, their record now sits at 4-6.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Krum has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 284 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ferris struggles in that department as they've been averaging 153.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
