Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Davenport). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Weatherford Kangaroos on Saturday, sneaking past 7-6. The win was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The team relied heavily on Travis Kost, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Davenport's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Weatherford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-1.

Looking ahead, Davenport will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Wagner at 5:00 p.m. As for Weatherford, they will venture away from home to take on South Grand Prairie at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
