Football Game Preview: Warde Mustangs vs. Wilton Warriors

Warde is 1-8 against Wilton since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Warriors at 12:00 p.m. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: James Dellavolpe and Charlie Calabrese.

Warde's last matchup with Staples could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Mustangs took a blow against the Wreckers, falling 49-13. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Warde got top-tier performance from Andrew Shelov, who picked up 133 receiving yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Wilton strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over Stamford. Considering the Warriors have won four games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Wilton's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Warde, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
