Softball Recap: Morton/White Pass Takes a Loss

After flying high against Winlock on Monday, Morton/White Pass came back down to earth. The Huskies came up short against the Naselle Comets on Tuesday, falling 20-8. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Comets earlier this season, when they won 25-5.

Morton/White Pass has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Naselle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Morton/White Pass will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Adna at 4:00 p.m. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Naselle, they will face off against Wishkah Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
