Booker T. Washington scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 26-20 to the Manassas Tigers. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 20-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Booker T. Washington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alex Morgan, who picked up 90 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception. Jacorian Douglas was another key player, rushing for 70 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Even if they lost, Booker T. Washington's defense still kept up the pressure with eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Douglas and Malikhi Jackson, who racked up four sacks between them. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to sacks: he's posted at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Booker T. Washington got some further help from Teunja Rivers: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Booker T. Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Manassas, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Booker T. Washington will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Middle College at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Manassas, they will host Oakhaven at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' defense better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 29.2 points per game this season.
