Baseball Game Preview: Octorara Area Braves vs. Cocalico Eagles

The Octorara Area Braves will take on the Cocalico Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Octorara Area and four for Cocalico.

On Friday, Octorara Area didn't have quite enough to beat Pequea Valley and fell 3-2.

Christopher Everly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Octorara Area saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jiron Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Gonzalez has brought in this season.

Meanwhile, Cocalico didn't have quite enough to beat Solanco on Friday and fell 3-2.

Octorara Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Cocalico, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Octorara Area suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Cocalico when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
