Football Game Preview: Ridge View Blazers vs. Spring Valley Vikings

The Ridge View Blazers will take on the Spring Valley Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridge View will be strutting in after a win while Spring Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Ridge View is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Westwood on Friday. The Blazers breezed past the Redhawks to the tune of 46-8. The result was nothing new for the Blazers, who have now won three contests by 38 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Spencer Bobian, who rushed for 201 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 119.8 rushing yards per game. Ryan Williams was another key back, rushing for 64 yards and two scores on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ridge View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 320 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Spring Valley fell victim to Blythewood and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Bengals, falling 46-0. The Vikings have struggled against the Bengals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Ridge View now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Spring Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Ridge View against Spring Valley in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-14 victory. Will the Blazers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
