Darlington strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Coahulla Creek Colts. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Colts, too.

Darlington not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Coahulla Creek between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17.

Ruthie Brinson paced Darlington's offense, picking up eight kills. Brinson got some help from Bryn Merritt and her 14 assists. Merritt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Darlington's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Coahulla Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Darlington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Parkview on the 16th. As for Coahulla Creek, they will square off against Oakwood Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
