Baseball Game Preview: Moravian Academy Lions vs. Palisades Pirates

Moravian Academy hasn't had much luck against Palisades recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. Moravian Academy has given up an average of 17.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Moravian Academy is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Wednesday. They lost 16-1 to Salisbury Township. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Palisades brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They skirted past Northern Lehigh 10-9. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Jackson Butler and Ted Mussleman did most of the damage at the plate: Butler scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Mussleman went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Butler also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Moravian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Palisades, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.
