The Nature Coast Tech Sharks will face off against The Villages Charter Buffalo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nature Coast Tech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Nature Coast Tech barely beat Hudson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Sharks were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Cobras on Wednesday. The Sharks haven't had any issues with the Cobras recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Nature Coast Tech let Miranda Wiemer and Caitlin Corrigan run wild. Wiemer scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Corrigan scored three runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave Wiemer a new career-high in RBI (three). Athena Brown was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.
They weren't the only one making solid contact: Nature Coast Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, The Villages Charter was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell 6-2 to Foundation Academy.
Haylee Nobles was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero).
On the hitting side, Elaina Gonzalez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Payton West, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Nature Coast Tech's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for The Villages Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Both Nature Coast Tech and The Villages Charter just can't seem to miss. The Sharks have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like The Villages Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Nature Coast Tech skirted past The Villages Charter 4-3 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will the Sharks repeat their success, or do the Buffalo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
