Soccer Recap: Yuma Catholic Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Yuma Catholic has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gilbert Christian Knights. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss on Saturday.

Yuma Catholic's goal came courtesy of Sahid Verdugo, which was the first he's scored this season.

Yuma Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Gilbert Christian, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.

As of now, neither Yuma Catholic nor Gilbert Christian have any future games scheduled.
