Volleyball Recap: West Lauderdale Gets the Win

West Lauderdale won the last time they faced Lake and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Hornets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day West Lauderdale got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 16-25, 25-10, 22-25, 15-11.

Among those leading the charge was Kalie Miller, who had eight digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

West Lauderdale has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Lake, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coincidentally, West Lauderdale and Lake will both be playing Clarkdale the next time they take the court. The Knights will host the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
