Cape Fear Academy has gone 10-0 against Coastal Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Centurions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while the Patriots are ranked 213th).

Coastal Christian's win came from a few key players Cape Fear Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Noah Anderson, who posted 14 points. Those 14 points gave him a new career-high. Caleb Martin was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Cape Fear Academy pushed their record up to 12-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Coastal Christian, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-14.

Cape Fear Academy beat Coastal Christian 46-37 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cape Fear Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
