Soccer Game Preview: Longview vs. Rockwall-Heath

Longview is 1-8 against Rockwall-Heath since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lobos will square off against the Hawks at 7:15 p.m. Longview will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Longview's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Tyler Legacy. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Longview's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Tyler Legacy are ranked 145th).

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Rockwall-Heath faced off against North Forney on Friday. The Hawks blew past the Falcons 4-0. Rockwall-Heath haven't had any issues with North Forney recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Longview's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Rockwall-Heath, their win bumped their record up to 14-1-2.

Longview suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Rockwall-Heath in their previous matchup back in January. Can the Lobos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
