Softball Recap: Martin County Comes Up Short

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Martin County was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against the Centennial Eagles, falling 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 2, 2024.

Martin County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ciana Vargas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Martin County's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Centennial, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Martin County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-5 win against South Fork on the 10th. As for Centennial, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-3 loss against Okeechobee on the 10th.
