Basketball Recap: Winona Comes Up Short

Winona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Red Wing Wingers 73-38. While losing is never fun, the Winhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Wingers are ranked 61st).

Winona's loss dropped their record down to 0-25. As for Red Wing, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-7.

Looking ahead, Winona will take on Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Red Wing, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mankato East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
